I listened to a news commentator this morning discussing the abysmal ratings of the current administration and Congress. His suggestion was that a strong leader had to stand up at the State of the Union address year after year and tell the American public what has to be done.
I was rather unimpressed with his diagnosis of America's current situation. I don't think the American public has to be told what has to be done, we already know it!
The American public has been speaking out for the past 4-5 years. The administration and Congress have simply refused to act on our wishes.
The American public wants: An end to the war in Iraq. Border security A rationale approach to our current illegal immigration policy Revision to NAFTA and other free trade agreements
This is simply a start, the list goes on. Don't tell us what is good for us. DO what you are hired to do!
