Last night while walking along the ocean front I saw my first school of dolphin since the spring. I not only had missed their amusing antics but had been concerned due to their disappearance. It was good to see them back again.
Reports of some good size rockfish are starting to filter in. Off-shore boats have been catching smaller rockfish but now for two days I have seen reports of 25-30 lb. fish being landed.
Last year we missed having the rockfish make their annual migration to our shoreline. We've got our fingers crossed that cooler weather will force them to migrate south to our shores.
