N.C. Community College System| Posted Saturday, December 08, 2007 at 10:10:59 AM | College system President Martin Lancaster has decided that HE knows the right thing to do. In an article in the Coastland Times, Lancaster has stirred up a hornets nest by defending his policy that requires the state's 58 community colleges to admit illegal immigrants. He must have seen all the popular press that Gov. Elliot Spitzer of NY got when he decided to give illegals state driver licenses.
The admission of illegal immigrants, he maintained in a written statement this week, "is not only the right law and policy, but it is the right thing to do."
Once again, we have an appointed individual determining that the word illegal is not of any significance.
This jerk should be run out of town, county and state. He must feel emboldened to take this stance since he has announced that he will be retiring in the spring. Hopefully, the state college system has a vehicle that will allow them to address this fiasco once Lancaster disappears off the stage. | |
