I wrote in to Lou's program and asked the following question.
In 2005 Lou addressed the idea of a North American Union during a debate on his program. Since that point I haven't heard this particular term come up again on his program.
The problem of illegal immigration has come up extensively on his program. Currently the Gov. of NY has gotten his fair share of criticism on his intent to give driver license's to illegal immigrants. The federal governments inability to came to grips with our borders and import security.
All of these and more could be playing hand in hand with the concept of a North American Union. If indeed the governments long term goal is to be part of such a union, than it is more understandable how they are treating all of these issues so cavalierly.
