Just got in from my morning beach walk with my dog, Rory.
January 5th provided us with a calm ocean, beautiful sunshine and dolphin playing in the surf. Although we did have a very light frost last night, any hint of that was gone by 8:30.
I really feel fortunate on days like this when I can enjoy the solitude of the beach in a sweatshirt. Especially when you look at the news and see other areas of the country having problems with snow and ice etc.
It's good every so often to realize how lucky you really are.
